Antique Navajo Textiles

A constantly evolving tradition; the earliest Navajo weavers made utilitarian baskets, and by the 19th century, influenced by Pueblo weavers, began weaving fine wearing blankets from spanish churro wool. The classic blanket period eventually lead to rug production for the US market, with many regional styles and a wide range of materials and qualities. Our online collection is selected to complement the heritage and quality of the rest of our offerings. All pieces are washed and restored as needed.
